Arsene DeLay

& Charlie Wooton

Arsène DeLay is known for her ability to navigate a diverse musical genres, making her challenging to put into a box, gliding from jazz, R&B, blues, rock and roll, to funk and folk. Her critically acclaimed debut album, “Comin’ Home” in 2014, which was award nominated, was featured on NCIS: New Orleans.

Charlie Wooton was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, with his four older brothers, who were all exceptional musicians, including Dr. John Wooton, head of percussion at USM. As a teen, music was Charlie’s life; studying Classical and Jazz during the day, then playing gigs at night with his brother David, or Bobby Brooks, or spending 6 straight hours playing Zydeco at the LaLa with Grammy winner Chubby Carrier. Charlie soaked it all in, learning how to put on a show, manage a business, and continue to hone his craft.

Arsene and Charlie have a residency in the Back Room at Buffa's every Monday night at 5PM. We can't wait to have them back when we resume normal operations. This performance was recorded live in Arsène's home studio on April 20, 2020.

Show our musicians how much you enjoy watching them on our web cam! Drop a Lincoln or two in our virtual tip jar! We'll see they not only get the tip, but that they know who it's from (unless you tell us not to).
